Spa Maintenance
Please follow the procedure below:
1. Check if the nozzles are open
2. Check if the temperature of the motor is too high and the security system stopped the motor. Unplug the SPA pump and wait two hours until it has cooled down.
The problem is probably caused by the instability of the power in your house. Consult your electrician or the local power supply to solve the problem.
Two CR2032 batteries.
You can find some instruction videos on Bestway YouTube channel .
You can find Bestway User Manuals on each product detail page on the website.
The filter cartridges are available from your local pool supplier or in our Bestway USA website.
It may take several hours to reach the set temperature. It will depend on the starting water temperature, the environment temperature and the set temperature.
• The temperature of the water increases by 1.5°C to 2.0°C (34.7°F to 35.6°F) per hour if the power supply in your country is 220V.
• The temperature of the water will increase by 1°C to 1.5°C (33.8°F to 34.7°F) per hour if the power supply in your country is 110V.
IMPORTANT: to increase the performance of the heating function in Bestway's spa, follow these suggestions:
1. Clean the filter cartridge every day, and if necessary, replace with a new one.
2. Always keep the spa cover with inflatable lid in place when performing the heating function.
It may take several hours to reach the set temperature. It will depend on the starting water temperature, the environment temperature and the set temperature. The temperature of the water increases 2℃ (35ºF) per hour if the power supply in your country is 220V. The temperature of the water will increase 1℃ (33ºF) per hour if the power supply in your country is 110V. IMPORTANT: to increase the performance of the heating function in Bestway's spa, follow these suggestions:
1. Clean the filter cartridge every day, and if necessary, replace with a new one.
2. Always keep the spa cover with inflatable lid in place when performing the heating function.
If you push the test button, it is normal to hear a beeping sound. The beeping is to confirm that the internal test is finished. Unplug and plug the pump back in, and your pump is ready to use.
Water drops inside the liner come from the humidity in the air when inflating the spa liner. Since the water inside the pool is hot and the environment temperature is lower, the humidity of the air inside the spa liner chamber will create water drops. Before storing the spa liner for the winter, to avoid the growth of mildew inside the chamber, we suggest drying the inner chamber to prevent the problem from happening again.
Bestway's spa heater has a power saving function and a 30 minute "auto shut-off" for the massage system. To restart the massage function, push the massage button again.
IMPORTANT: the control panel will lock after five minutes without operation. Push the lock/unlock button to restart normal operation of the control panel.
Pinkish staining is a by-product of a microorganism called Streptoverticillium Reticulum. The microorganism is often present in areas of high humidity and is usually deposited by the rain. Although the vinyl coating on a spa is treated to resist bacteria (meaning it is not a suitable food source), it is still a perfect host site for this particular microorganism. Other than looking strange, the staining should not affect the use of your liner or enjoyment of your spa. Despite the fact that the pinkish staining is extremely difficult to remove, regularly cleaning your liner by scrubbing it should prevent Streptoverticillium Reticulum from ever appearing.
6CF or GCF may appear in the first use due to Bestway's high level of safety control. This alarm appears when the socket where the spa is connected does not have proper ground connection. Contact your electrician to solve the problem on the socket. If the electrician cannot solve the problem, submit a support form to get assistance or a replacement.
If the pump doesn't heat the water when the heat button is activated and the filtration system is operating, follow these steps:
- The setting temperature is too low: increase the temperature until 40°C, using the Temperature Adjustment Buttons on the control panel (see the PUMP OPERATION part of the owner’s manual)
- The reset button operation has not been performed: press the “Reset” button (see the PUMP OPERATION part of the owner’s manual)
- The environment is cold: place the top cover on the spa and start the pump
- The filter cartridge is dirty: clean/replace the filter cartridge (see the MAINTENANCE part of the owner’s manual)
IMPORTANT: the heating system is capable of increasing the water temperature by approximately 1.5 to 2.0 °C (3-4 °F) if your power supply is 220V-240V and 1-1.5 (2-3 °F) if your power supply is 110V-120V. Refer to 20°C of environment.
After 72 hours of filtration, the pump will hibernate and flash “End” with the current water temperature. When the pump is hibernating, both the heating and the water filter functions are disabled. To reactivate the pump, press the lock/unlock button for 3 seconds.
The remote control is set to turn off after 20 seconds of no activity.
This is normal, especially if you switch off the filter pump. We always suggest switching off the HydroJet fuction before switching off the filter pump.
There is a problem on the thermo-fuse on the PTC.
Too much salt has been added or too much water has evaporated.
Please follow below steps:
1. Unplug the pump.
2. Drain 20% of the water and add fresh water to the spa.
3. Plug the pump back in and re-start the Salt Chlorinator System.
4. If the “E10” code is displayed again, please repeat the above steps.
Not enough salt for sanitizing.
Please follow below steps:
1. Unplug and plug the pump back in.
2. Start the HydroJet System.
3. Gradually add 1.1 lbs / 0.5 kg salt to the water.
4. Wait untill the salt is dissolved.
5. Start the Salt Chlorinator System.
6. If the “E11” code is displayed again, please repeat the above steps.
The system has detected some water leakage inside the pump.
If the water becomes white, it is the chemical reaction between the chemical used and the quality of the water. Consult your chemical dealer to adjust the water condition.
During the working time, the pump and the liner must be always connected. When detaching the pump for maintenance, some water will flow out from the massage pipe. To stop this leakage, put the designed cap on the pipe (included in the package).
If the HydroJet fuction doesn't work, follow these instructions:
1. Check that your filter pump is turned on and make sure you have already purged the air. For this operation, see the FAQ related to the filter pump.
2. Check if the control valve on the B port is open, and if the knob on the side of the HydroJet console is in the open position.
3. Make sure that the switch on the top of the HydroJet console is in the HydroJet position.
4. Make sure that the HydroJet nozzles are rotated clockwise with the maximum power.
1. The pump did not pair with the remote control
2. The pump is not plugged in, or the remote control is out of range
3. The remote control battery is dead or not inserted correctly
4. The remote control is damaged
This problem normally occurs when a new lid has been purchased or replaced under warranty. New lids need a little time to expand before they reach the correct size. The rate at which the lid expands depends on the ambient air temperature and how often the water inside your spa is heated. Please be assured that this is perfectly normal, and we have never had a lid that has not expanded to the correct size. The difference will not influence the performance of the lid.
IMPORTANT: to inflate the inflatable lid, use the spa heater and the provided inflation hose. Don't use air pressure machines or other equipment that can over-inflate the PVC liner and drastically reduce the lifespan of your spa.
