When splash time is over, and it’s time to pack up your Bestway® and H2OGO!® inflatable water slide (aka: mega water park) for the day (or for the season), there are a few key steps you need to take to clean and dry your slide before putting it away.
Follow these 10 simple steps to effectively clean and maintain your slide, so your kids can continue to enjoy fun in the sun for many years to come!
Step 1: Once all children are out of the water park, turn off the garden hose and disconnect it from the slide.
Step 2: Next, turn off the blower and unplug it from the outlet. Move the blower to dry ground so it doesn’t get wet from the draining water.
Step 3: Open the drain valve to empty the water from the water park.
Step 4: After all the water has drained, remove the stakes and gently move the slide away to a dry area.
Step 5: Once the slide is away from the drained water, re-stake the slide and the blower.
Step 6: Reconnect the blower (that inflates the entire park in 2 minutes!) and turn on the power.
Step 7: Leave the water park inflated and wipe down any dirt or debris that may have collected with a damp cloth. (Note: Water and debris can also collect in the footholds on the climbing wall or in any nooks and crannies.)
Important: When water alone isn’t enough to remove the dirt and debris, you may also use a damp cloth with a neutral, non-flammable, non-toxic cleaning and sanitizing solution. DO NOT use toxic chemicals that may erode the double-stitched material.
Step 8: Next, to help prevent mold and mildew, leave the water slide inflated until all the remaining water has evaporated. Once the park is completely dry, turn off the blower and unplug it from the outlet. Wipe down the blower with a dry towel to ensure there’s no water in it.
Step 9: Remove and drain the hose assembly from the water park. Then untie the drawstring from the short outlet tube and allow the slide to fully deflate before removing the hose assembly and wrapping it up with no kinks.
Step 10: Lastly, fold up the water park as compactly as you can, then put it in the storage bag.
Storage
Unless you’re waiting for the water park to dry, never leave it and the blower outside for extended periods of time. Store them in a cool, dry, ventilated room out of the sun and away from children to prevent suffocation hazards.
Now you’re ready for many more days of backyard adventure!
