Place your inflatable hot tub on a flat, smooth, supportive surface, such as grass, level ground or concrete, with adequate drainage. Choose a location that is no farther from the wall outlet than the hot tub cord allows, but at least 3 ft. 3 in. from the house entrance. Avoid decks or balconies that cannot support the weight of a filled hot tub and areas that become muddy when it rains. The surface should also be clear of trees, overhead power lines and underground utility lines.

Read the manual for important information before setting up your hot tub. Inflate the hot tub and the cover using the “Massage System” button on the heater pump. Next, connect the pump and attach the filter housing and chemical dispenser. Using a garden hose, fill the hot tub to the indicated level and then wait for the water to reach the set temperature. Turn off the power, remove the filter and chemical dispenser, install the stopper caps and disconnect the pump. Connect a hose to the drainpipe to drain the water. Deep clean the hot tub before wiping the liner and parts down to ensure they're completely dry. Use the deflation function on the pump to deflate the hot tub. Yes, SaluSpa® inflatable hot tubs are designed to remain plugged in with the heater pump running. Turn the massage and heating systems off when the hot tub isn’t in use. Freeze Shield® protection will automatically turn on when temperatures are low to keep the water from freezing and protect the pump and liner from damage. The power-saving timer lets you set the temperature up to 40 days in advance.

Change your hot tub water every 1 to 3 months, depending on how often you use it and how well the water chemistry is maintained. If water chemical treatment is not performed, the water should be changed every 3 days. To help keep the water cleaner longer, keep the cover on when the hot tub isn't in use, clean or replace the filter cartridge regularly and shower before entering to remove oils, makeup and hair products.

Use a soapy water solution to locate the leak by identifying where bubbles form. Small punctures can typically be repaired with the self-adhesive repair patch included with your hot tub.
