6 Ways to Play: Bring the Outside Fun Inside

When we say we bring year-round fun to people’s lives, we mean it!

Just because we specialize in summers full of smiles, doesn’t mean the fun stops when summer ends. When the colder months roll around, it’s time to bring the fun inside!

Get an inside look from some of our Bestway® employees (kids at heart!) who had a little too much fun showing you the 6 ways to bring the outside fun inside:

1. Use Play Pools & Play Centers as Ball Pits

Take your play pools and play centers out of storage and into the living room this winter. Simply add some play balls and enjoy a fun indoor activity! A ball toss or color matching game can help entertain kids for hours. Kids will be having so much fun, they won’t even realize they are learning AND working on their fine motor skills. Bonus! During the summer, use the play balls outside in the water and let your little ones have an amazing multi-textured adventure to learn about why things float or sink.

2. Use Pool Floats as Comfy Seating for Slumber Parties

Take your child’s birthday party up a notch by adding some fun pool floats and lounges to the hangout space! Great for seating or sleeping areas during slumber parties, these pool floats are comfortable inside or outside the water. Some even feature cup holders to keep drinks and snacks close by. Plus, with lots of interesting novelty designs to choose from, there’s something for almost every party theme!

3. Don’t Let the Beach Ball Touch the Floor

Beach balls are great for the pool, and they are also great for a quick indoor game of “Don’t Let the Ball Touch the Floor!” Because beach balls are soft and lightweight, they are perfect for this volleyball-style playroom game. Plus, they won’t break any furniture (as long as the fragile breakables aren’t around). Whoever drops the ball first loses!

4. Turn Pool Noodles into a Fun Game

Kids can turn those pool noodles into fun games like noodle hoops or noodle limbo! To play noodle hoops, just bend the noodle into a circle. Next, duct tape the ends together, then duct tape the “hoop” onto the wall or door. This fun game gives you the perfect opportunity to reuse the beach ball from the touch the floor game as a basketball – talk about a win-win! To see how low they can go, you’ll just need to hang a pool noodle from a sturdy, higher object like a doorframe or fixture. Or for the little ones, you can grab two taller chairs and lay the pool noodles across them. You can also have two friends hold the ends horizontally while they take turns “going low.” Turn on some music and have your kids try to limbo beneath the noodle.

5. Use Inflatable Sprinklers for Decorations

Our large inflatable sprinklers don’t need to be hooked up to water to still be a blast! These themed toys, such as the Jumbo Hippo Sprinkler, are the perfect decoration for an animal lover’s bedroom and playroom, or as decor for a party.

6. Make Bath Time Fun with Dive Toys and Swim Gear

Splish, splash and have a fun bath with dive toys and swim gear! Kids will love dipping and diving their fish friends through the soapy water (also great for spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination) or pretending to be a superhero when they’re wearing their goggles. There are endless possibilities for fun during bath time with Bestway dive toys and swim gear.

The fun doesn’t have to end when summer does! It’s easy to get creative during the colder months with innovative and versatile toys from Bestway. We’d love to see all the ways you get the fun going during the winter by tagging us on social @Bestway_US!
